General Practitioners
Resus Nelson provides NZ Resuscitation Council CORE Skills, CORE Immediate & CORE Advanced CPR training courses. These courses have been endorsed by the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP). All courses are required every 3 years.

CORE Skills (Previously CORE Level 5 non-assessed). Required 3-yearly at a minimum for all registrars on the training programme (except for those undergoing Fellowship assessment), and all Fellows. CPD points = 8.
CORE Immediate Required for GP Fellowship. CPD points = 8.
CORE Advanced Required 3-yearly for DRHM training and Fellows, and recommended for all rural doctors and those providing high risk procedural services. CPD points = 12.

We also deliver practice based scenarios, supporting the general practice team to respond appropriately within your workplace to an emergency situation aiming towards improved patient care.
RNZCGP CORNERSTONE
Scenario training fulfils the RNZCGP Cornerstone requirements for:
Indicator 18.5: conducting annual emergency drills to improve their response to medical emergencies,
Indicator 23: prioritising urgent health needs
Indicator 22: on the Foundation Standard: to identify and respond to patients with clinically urgent health needs.
