Workplace Emergency Scenario Training
Course Summary
This practical, hands-on training is designed to prepare workplace teams to respond confidently and appropriately to medical emergencies that may occur in their specific environment. Using a systematic approach based on New Zealand Resuscitation Council (NZRC) guidelines, teams practise responding to realistic scenarios that could happen at work.
Whether it’s a café, salon, construction site, or office, this training builds confidence, enhances team communication, and ensures familiarity with emergency procedures and equipment on-site. It also serves as a valuable team-building experience.

No prior medical knowledge is required.
Course Content
Scenarios are tailored to the workplace, but may include:
• Managing an adult collapse – including CPR and AED use
• Responding to a faint or loss of consciousness
• Care of a person experiencing a seizure
• First aid for burns and scalds
• Recognition and management of anaphylaxis
• Fall from height and spinal injury (e.g. for construction or outdoor workplaces)
• Communication and teamwork during emergencies
