WELCOME TO RESUS NELSON
CPR & Emergency Scenario Training
Resus Nelson was formed in 2012 by Natalie Gallagher and Rosie Whittaker joined in 2015. Together they have over 20 years of experience in emergency nursing and have both taught CPR and resuscitation for over 10 years.
Both Natalie and Rosie are accredited by the New Zealand Resuscitation Council to provide basic life support training through to advanced cardiac life support CORE CPR courses.
Natalie and Rosie have a passion for teaching, developing in clinical and non-clinical teams and individuals, the capability and confidence to respond to emergency situations within their workplace and community.
Natalie and Rosie are accredited instructors of NZRC CORE courses. The course content complies with the current NZRC guidelines and all participants receive certificates complying with their professional organisations. We believe the effective training is as true to life as possible, and we use the latest high fidelity QCPR Laerdal manikins.
The objective of scenario training is for the team to identify and respond appropriately to patients with clinically urgent health needs, and by using a systematic approach, optimise their outcome. These medical emergencies are managed using the NZRC evidence based national guidelines. Scenario training is designed to enhance confidence, knowledge and skills.
