Testimonials

Natalie came to our organisation to do an Oxygen Administration course.
She took a rather serious complicated task and broke it down to the basics so we could all understand.
With Natalie's vast experience, she shared some very easy tips for using Oxygen confidently in the field.
She also supplied some equipment that we needed, next day delivery to my door.
My colleagues are still raving about the learning we all had.
Thank you, Natalie and Resus Nelson.
Thanks
Steve King ( Nelson Coast Guard )

- Oxygen Administration Training - Voluntary session
We have been chatting amongst customer service and wondered if it’s possible to get some feedback to Natalie for the AED training yesterday?

We all LOVED it, the overall feeling is that it was the best training session we have all had - her personality, humour and broad knowledge was unmatched!!
We have all left feeling confident in our knowledge of CPR and use of the AED - but also very hopeful we never need to use it in a real-life situation.

Our management team at River Kitchen recently had an evening of emergency scenario training with  Resus Nelson.  Natalie was efficient and organised booking it in and was happy to train us after business hours.  She arrived armed with lots of equipment, information sheets that she left for us to keep, and the entire training was a hands on, fun experience.  Everyone on the course thoroughly enjoyed it, felt more knowledgeable and more confident that we would know what to do in an emergency and I would definitely recommend this emergency scenario training as a tool for your team. - Claire Fleming, Owner and Manager of River Kitchen 10/10/2018
The guys had a great morning today with the lovely ladies from Resus. We had two groups of nine with 2-3 first aiders in each group, the ladies then went on to explain DRSABCD and then on to two scenarios involving trauma and a collapse, whilst telling us some interesting stories.

The environment that we did it in was great as subbies and other workers were still working in the area so it made it a real world scenario with distractions you would have before the hooter is sounded. The guys had nothing but great feedback and praise towards the training and everyone learnt some valuable tools to use in the event that we have an accident on site that requires some first aid. More so now that everyone has had a chance to learn and not just the guys put on the normal first aid courses.

Another point the guys made was the benefits of having the training outdoors and onsite rather than in a air conditioned class room with all the paper work which not everyone learns easily from.

The ladies did talk about a certificate they could give out to those that attended and we could file that under everyone's competency records.

All in all very beneficial for the guys and anyone working at the hospice and for those out of work scenarios where we need some knowledge on first aid.

In 2017 we required adrenaline training for 30 of our workers. After a short period of looking for a suitable training provider, we decided that Resus Nelson would meet our adrenaline training needs. Resus Nelson provided us with solid, relevant training that was specific to our work in the forestry industry. Natalie and Rosie were knowledgeable, friendly, able to relate to our workers and quickly put us at ease while they taught us how to identify anaphylaxis shock and what we needed to do to treat it. Natalie and Rosie were willing and able to help whenever we needed it and I am confident in recommending Resus Nelson to any company needing up-to-date adrenaline training for their business. - Joyanna Winn, Nigel Bryant Limited
Resus Nelson were great to deal with and provided learning for our staff in a very competent and fun way. This was reflected through the depth of knowledge they have in the area of their expertise. - Carol Barker, NM Traffic Management Ltd
This session exceeded our expectations and was the best CPR training I have ever had. I was delighted to have a few of the Physiotherapists email me back following the course stating how impressed they were. It was awesome to finally get a look at a defibrillator and to hear it in use. The small class size is perfect, your approach is informative and entertaining. Thank you. - Kate Gordon, Activate Physiotherapy
The Resus Nelson team came to our Dental Surgery to update our CPR skills and Emergency Response Procedures. There were 15 of us present and Natalie and Rosie were very professional and well up to date with current Codes of Practice. They taught using real life situations in the Surgery environments which were informative, relevant to our Practice and presented in a way that was a relaxed and fun learning experience. We would not hesitate to use their Services again and to recommend them to other businesses. - Claire Hayes, Nelson Dental Centre
I recently attended the session you ran at the Nelson Bays PHO for CPR Level 2 .  It was very professional and informative but at the same time you made it interesting with your stories.  It was the best session that I have attended in many years and that was down to your real enthusiasm for encouraging everyone to give it a go rather than do nothing.  I think that is the thing that most stood out for me from the whole session… even if your technique is not perfect it is better than doing nothing at all. I would not hesitate to recommend Resus Nelson for professional training with an added touch of humour. - Jane Green, Receptionist / Administrator, Skin Institute
Thank you for taking the CPR level 4 update last week. Your session was not only very informative but great fun with lots of humour. After 32 years of CPR updates I didn't think there would a lot more to learn, how wrong I was. This would have to be the most enjoyable CPR session I have attended. Thank you again. I will look forward to the next update. - W Martin, Practice Nurse
I recently booked to update my CPR certificate for work as a locum Practice Nurse in the Nelson- Tasman region, with Resus Nelson. At past updates I have attended with a resigned,'it has to be done' attitude, and was very pleasantly surprised  at this one, to find a confident, knowledgable instructor, who updated my rusty skills in a competent and enjoyable manner. I left feeling that I had learnt a few new skills that would not be easily forgotten, and that the certificate I received meant more than just the necessary two yearly paperwork. I recommend Natalie to anyone wishing to update their CPR skills. - Jenn Bolderson RN
We regularly use Natalie and Rosie to run emergency scenarios in our own practice. Not only are they highly-skilled themselves, they have the ability to communicate those skills in a really effective and supportive way. We find it extremely valuable, particularly because they are well-organised so you don’t end up paying for down time. - Sharon Brinsdon, Practice Manager, Nelson Family Medicine
Tahunanui Medical Centre have had great experiences with Resus Nelson. Natalie and Rosie have come to our practice on two occasions and facilitated multidisciplinary emergency scenarios. Natalie & Rosie’s senses of humour and their awesome knowledge have made all staff feel included and valued, from the GP with extensive Emergency experience to the newest Receptionist (with a genuine fear of getting things wrong!). Together we have come up with realistic, relevant scenarios peculiar to our premises, patients, staff ratios and geographical location. We all hate role play but somehow Natalie and Rosie make us feel comfortable. After each session we have found new things to improve within the practice, from a new emergency incident record sheet to furniture placement. Not only do these sessions tick the box for Cornerstone, they are great team building experience with genuine relevance and a huge amount of laughter, these sessions have built increasing trust between staff and have demonstrated how capable all staff members can be in stressful situations.  We will definitely continue to use Natalie and Rosie. - Sarah Hobbs, Practice Manager, Tahunanui Medical Centre
